Why odors return

Odor molecules can remain below the visible surface even after the top looks clean. Humidity, repeated accidents, or renewed moisture can make a treated area noticeable again.

That does not automatically mean every carpet must be replaced. It means the source and affected layers need to be identified before choosing treatment.

What information helps

Share the number of affected areas, whether accidents repeated in the same place, which surfaces are involved, prior products used, and whether the odor changes with weather.

Photos help with staining and size. They usually cannot prove how far contamination traveled.

Set realistic expectations

Some concerns respond well to targeted cleaning. Others require deeper treatment, access below the surface, repair, or referral outside a cleaner's scope.

My Cleaner separates basic deodorizing from advanced pet treatment so the quote does not pretend every condition is identical.

Questions people ask

Yes, liquid can pass through carpet and pad depending on amount, repetition, construction, and time.

Will household air freshener solve pet urine odor?
